DIY Mobile App
Fjord contracted me to work alongside their parent company Accenture and client Kingfisher in a digital hub created specifically for the project. Our team was tasked with designing a mobile app for their sub brand (B&Q) to help customers find the right products for their garden projects and required exploration into new technologies like image recognition. I worked in a cross-functional agile team, collaborating with the product owner, scrum master, business analysts, developers and other designers.
Adhering to the agile framework, new features were produced every two weeks. The app evolved through several test and learn phases where we created specific user journeys to gain feedback and inform the direction of the product. This resulted in the launch of B&Q Gardens, which was available to download on Android and iOS devices. We continued to release new features to production every two weeks following the same methodologies and the product was highly rated in reviews on the app stores and featured in Garden Life Magazine under Best Gardening Apps 2017.
